Persistent Faith

Good Morning!

And will not [our just] God defend and avenge His elect [His chosen ones] who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay [in providing justice] on their behalf? I tell you that He will defend and avenge them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [this kind of persistent] faith on the earth?  -Luke 18:7-8

How persistent are we in our prayers? How persistent is our faith? If we just mentioned something in prayer and God would make it happen, how deep would our faith be? Would we take God as seriously as we do now? But if we are persistent in our faith and in our prayers to where God knows that we are serious in aligning ourselves with Him, I believe when those prayers are answered that our faith will grow substantially. If I look back on all my answered prayers, the ones that were the biggest faith builders were the ones I prayed for long and hard. Not saying the prayers that were answered by God in the moment weren’t faith building but if they were all answered that way I am not sure my faith would be very deep. God is not a vending machine, but rather a Father that is to be deeply revered.

“By being persistent, you’re demonstrating faith. Persistence is simply another word for faith. If you didn’t have faith, you’d never persist.”   -Earl Nightingale

“If a care is too small to be turned into a prayer it is too small to be made into a burden.”  -Corrie ten Boom
