Righteousness

Good Morning!

The hope of the righteous [those of honorable character and integrity] is joy, but the expectation of the wicked [those who oppose God and ignore His wisdom] comes to nothing.  -Proverbs 10:28

When we live in righteousness (that is having a close relationship with God and letting Him guide you in making decisions and repenting when you sin) we can expect to live in fulfillment and joy, no matter what is going on around us or is happening to us. When we do not live in righteousness but live for ourselves and do whatever our flesh desires, the enemy wants you to believe that is where happiness resides, but quite the contrary, that is where misery resides. Only in God can we find true comfort and only in God can we find true joy. Trying to do both never works either, you can’t experience the fullness of God with only one foot in the door. You have to be all in.

“Instead of pursuing happiness, pursue God, and happiness will find you, deep in your soul.”  -Leila Grandemange

“God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”  -C.S. Lewis

Dad Joke of the Day:

I just found out that my father was a mime.

He never spoke about it.

Have a great Friday!
