Good Morning!

But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High; because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked.  -Luke 6:35

This is a tough one. We are to love our enemies, not just tolerate, but love. We think if we tolerate our enemies we are doing a good thing, but that is not enough, we are to love, unselfishly seek the best for them. This is not something our flesh or the world naturally does, we have to go against the grain, upstream, uphill to accomplish this. Luckily, we have Holy Spirit there to help us with it, to carry the burden, and take the lead. Hating your enemy is a heavy burden to carry and is actually a lot heavier than loving them. Loving them might be going against what your flesh wants but a much happier, lighter, and brighter way to live.
