Boasting

Good Morning!

If I must boast, I will boast of the things that reveal my weakness [the things by which I am made weak in the eyes of my opponents].  -2 Corinthians 11:30

When we boast about ourselves we bring glory and honor to us which is not encouraged. Our boasting should not point back to us. As the verse above states, if we boast we should boast through our weaknesses because through our weaknesses is where God showed up. That is why testimonies are so powerful is because we are sharing about our weaknesses and how God redeemed us from them. Any boasting we do should be pointed towards God not us. In a world where everyone is telling everyone what they did and how they are better, let’s be the people that are telling everyone how we messed up and how God has redeemed us. Let’s go against the norm, let’s swim upstream.

“Boasting speech is a mark of weakness. Those who do great things are usually silent.”

“Our weakness is a gift because it’s where God’s power is made perfect.”  -Alexandra Hoover

Dad Joke of the Day:

I’m not trying to make waves here, but in my opinion Dove chocolate tastes way better than their soap.

Have a great Monday!
