Good Morning!
Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” -Hebrews 13:5
It seems like it is almost default to think of all the ways and things that we “should” have or “deserve” to have. But we can have the comfort in knowing that God will not leave us or forsake us, He will provide for our needs. As the verse above reads, we should never try to gain financially through unethical ways, every dollar we earn should be done so honestly and ethically. Financial greed is a form of selfishness and evil and will never lead to anything good. We all have had and probably constantly have opportunities to do unethical things when it comes to finances but making the right decisions is important when it comes to our relationships with other people and with God. Even when we think no one sees it, God does.

When you’re at the checkout line and they ask you if you found everything, say, “Why, are you hiding stuff?”
Have a great Tuesday!
