Walk by Faith

Good Morning!

For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]  -2 Corinthians 5:7

If we walk by sight we tend to overthink things, if we walk by faith we trust that God’s got us. If we walk by sight it’s easy to get paranoid with all the ‘what ifs’, if we walk by faith we trust that it will work out. If we walk by sight we don’t trust anyone around us, if we walk by faith we treat other people the way we would want to be treated. If we walk by sight we think we have to control everything, if we walk by faith we surrender out control to God and live our life as good stewards with what He has given us. If we walk by sight we are constantly obsessed with money and status, if we walk by faith we know that life is about more than money and God will provide us with what we need. Which of these walks seems like the most fulfilling? We all have areas in our life where it is extremely hard to let go and walk by faith, but that is why it is called faith.

“If it were not for uncertainties we would have no need to walk by faith.”  -Elisabeth Elliot

“Devotion is diligence without assurance. If faith were rational, it wouldn’t be by definition faith. Faith is walking face first and full speed into the dark.”  -Elizabeth Gilbert

Dad Joke of the Day:

When an escaped prisoner was caught camping out in the woods, it was a clear case of criminal in tent.

Have a great Tuesday!
