Prayer

For whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.  -Romans 10:13

So simple, but yet so profound. All we have to do to be saved is call on the name of the Lord, sincerely call to Him. We repent of our former self, we give our life to God, and we pursue a relationship with Him. I think we oftentimes overcomplicate the gospel and add way more depth to it than designed for a new believer. The simplicity of it is; we call on the Lord to be saved, we repent, we get baptized, we share our testimony and spread the gospel. The awesome thing about the Bible is if you read the big story of it, the simplicity of it is what I just shared, but as you grow in your faith there is as much depth there as you will ever need, still today they are making discoveries of the depth of the Bible and how only God could orchestrate something so deep and powerful.

“Always remember the essence of Christian holiness is simplicity and purity: one design, one desire, entire devotion to God.”  -John Wesley

“The life of Christ was a life of humble simplicity, yet how infinitely exalted was His mission. Christ is our example in all things.”   -Ellen G. White
