Peace

Good Morning!

Blessed are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they will [express His character and] be called the sons of God.   -Matthew 5:9

It is so easy to get caught up in our own thing and forget how that affects other people, and it is easy to disrupt the peace because of how we think it should be, but oftentimes when we discuss and talk it through with other people and we all sacrifice a little there are ways to get everyone what they need without disrupting the peace. When we are selfish and do things our way with no consideration for the people around us, we disrupt the peace, even if you might not notice it. There are also times when you need to have a tough conversation or confrontation in order to maintain peace, but that should be done in a manner that promotes peace and not animosity. As the verse above states, we are blessed and called sons of God when we, what is in our power, are at peace with the people around us.

“We maintain peace through our strength; weakness only invites aggression.”  -Ronald Reagan
