Believe in Prayer

Good Morning!

For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.  -Mark 11:24

How easy is it to pray a prayer but not fully believe that it is going to happen? The Bible is truth, all the way through. If we believe that, then we should believe that if we are praying in line with God’s will that the prayers WILL be answered because the above verse says exactly that. I think too often in our prayers we get too specific in what we want because we think we know best the narrative of our life and then when the prayers don’t get answered exactly how we prayed them we lose faith and hope not realizing what God has for us might be way bigger and better than what we prayed for. What we have to remember is that God sees the big picture way beyond what we can see and that is where the trust comes in, we have to trust that He is doing what is best for us. I think sometimes we miss the fact that He answered the prayer because it didn’t look like we think it should. Today, take a step back and broaden your view.

“The greatest tragedy in life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer…”

“Never forget that God isn’t bound by time the way we are. We see only the present moment; God sees everything. We see only part of what He is doing; He sees it all.”  -Billy Graham

Dad Joke of the Day:

People need to stop putting flyers on my car.

I don’t want to see a band called “Parking Violation” at the “Courthouse”.

Have a great Wednesday!
