Stands Firm

Good Morning!

Therefore let the one who thinks he stands firm [immune to temptation, being overconfident and self-righteous], take care that he does not fall [into sin and condemnation]. -1 Corinthians 10:12

Do we ever have times where we look at somebody else and think to ourselves that we would never fall into the same sin or temptation that they did? I think we have all had those moments where we almost consider ourselves better because someone else’s struggle is not ours and we “know better”. I think that is exactly what this verse is talking about. We need to realize that we might be just as easily wrapped up in the same sin or another sin that said person doesn’t struggle with. Everybody has their own struggles and strongholds that they are dealing with and just because something is easy for us to say no to, doesn’t mean it is for the next person. One way to be in a good spot is to stay humble, not arrogant, and stay in constant communication with God, because He is really the only Way to truly overcome temptation.

My teacher told me not to worry about spelling because in the future there will be autocorrect. And for that I am eternally grapefruit.

Have a great Wednesday!
