Rituals of his Faith

Good Morning!

If anyone thinks himself to be religious [scrupulously observant of the rituals of his faith], and does not control his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless (futile, barren). -James 1:26

We can act like the best Christian but if what comes out of our mouth doesn’t align with our actions and what the Word of God teaches us then our Christian faith loses credibility with others around us. The same is true if your words align perfectly with the Word of God but your actions do not. Does that mean we can’t mess up? We all know that we will mess up at some point, other than Jesus nobody has been able to bridle their tongue or their actions all the time. So what do we do when we mess up? We need to humble ourselves, repent, and make it right with whoever we hurt in the process. Most of the time people get a bad taste of Christians when we justify the bad that we did and show no remorse for the pain we caused.

“Don’t mix bad words with your bad mood. You’ll have many opportunities to change a mood, but you’ll never get the opportunity to replace the words you spoke.”

“Be careful with your words. Once they are said, they can be only forgiven, not forgotten.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

Karl Marx was a famous philosopher but no one ever mentions his sister, Onya, the inventor of the starting pistol…..

Have a great Tuesday!
