A Cheerful Giver

Good Morning!

Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]. -2 Corinthians 9:7

Have you ever had a moment or seen a moment in someone else where a good deed was done or gave money to a good cause but we/they did it begrudgingly and therefore took all the joy out of it? We are not to give begrudgingly or under compulsion but we are to put thought and prayer behind it and we are to do it cheerfully. How much more fun is it to give if we have joy behind it? There is a lot of research that proves a generous person is healthier mentally and physically than someone that is not. There are a lot of ways to be generous; they include giving our time either in helping someone physically or just listening and supporting them emotionally, or another way is being generous with our money, tithing to our church, helping a neighbor, giving to an organization that stands for and does the right thing. Let us be intentional with our life.

Dad Joke of the Day:

My wife said, “You really have no sense of direction, do you?”

I said, “Where did that come from?”

Have a great Thursday!
