The Mind of the Spirit

Good Morning!

Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever].  -Romans 8:6

It says that the mind of flesh is death. If our mind is a mind of flesh there is always fear and unrest since we can only rely on ourselves in life and we, by ourselves, are not enough. If we have the mind of the Spirit we can experience peace and life, we don’t have to live in fear all the time because we can have the assurance that God is there for us no matter what. That doesn’t mean we won’t have trials, but that we can rely on God even through those trials and not everything rests on our shoulders.

“As long as we live in this world, we are going to have to resist becoming like it.”

“I can’t brag about my love for God because I fail Him daily, but I can brag about His love for me because it never fails.”
