Good Morning!
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord. -Psalms 27:14
Do we confidently wait and expect God to show up? I noticed in this verse it says to let your heart take courage, which I believe is different from letting your mind take courage. Our minds tend to want to tell us all the reasons something won’t work or will work where our heart can accept the truth better and help us to see better what God has for us. The way I would explain the difference between the heart and mind is, in the mind you can justify “stuff” but if deep down (heart) you feel it is wrong, then it probably is.
“Waiting on the Lord is a confident, disciplined, expectant, active, sometimes painful clinging to God.” -John Ortberg Jr.
“We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the Heavenly world, and can bring its power down to earth.” -Andrew Murray

Dads: Why spend $300 to have a plumber fix the sink when I can do it in 4 months for free?
Have a great Thursday!
