Cleaning Up Our Sin

Good Morning!

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].  -1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, God is faithful in forgiving them. The above verse says He will not only forgive but continually cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There are times when we might commit sins that we have truly repented for and God has forgiven, but the people involved might not have forgiven us. In those instances I think the only way to earn back the respect or gain forgiveness from those people is to stay consistent in showing them that you are changed and forgiven through Christ. With God forgiveness is instant, if your heart is in the right place, with people sometimes it takes time to heal and overcome the hurt. Cling to the fact that you are forgiven and God is working for you in hard times and walk out that truth in loving others.

Dad Joke of the Day:

I went to the bakery and asked for some short bread.

They told me they didn’t make it any longer.

Have a great Tuesday!
