Faithful in Much

Good Morning!

He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much. -Luke 16:10

I sometimes wonder if moving mountains can mean doing it with a shovel, a pick, and a wheelbarrow along with consistency and dedication. We might want to move the whole thing at once but through the process of staying consistent and doing a little bit at a time we learn discipline and life lessons. I think this verse is much the same, being faithful in the small things helps us build faith to where we have faith in the big things as well. And being dishonest in the small things can convince yourself it’s not that bad and justify yourself in being dishonest in the big things.

“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.” -Mother Teresa

“In the big scheme of things, it’s the little things that matter.” -Benny Bellamacina

Dad Joke of the Day:

A lumberjack went in to a magic forest to cut a tree. Upon arrival, he started to swing at the tree, when it shouted, “Wait! I’m a talking tree!” The lumberjack grinned and said: “And you will dialogue.”

Have a great Wednesday!
