Even a [callous, arrogant] fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; when he closes his lips he is regarded as sensible (prudent, discreet) and a man of understanding. -Proverbs 17:27-28<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In a day where everyone has a voice because of the internet and social media, where seeing and reading things may be triggers to respond in a less than ideal way, controlling our thoughts and our words are more important than ever. Sometimes people equate someone as knowledgeable because of the many words they speak but knowledge often involves knowing when to be quiet or having the wisdom how the words you speak or type might affect other people. So often we fall into the trap thinking we have to win the argument in order to prove our wisdom or our knowledge. And like the second verse says, sometimes being quiet makes us look wiser than we are, where opening our mouth removes all doubt. Getting to the root of it, what comes out of our mouth is the overflow of our heart, so true wisdom is focusing on getting our heart right and what we say will naturally be filled with wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWisdom doesn\u2019t come from speaking.
