And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God]. -2 Corinthians 5:18-19 AMP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n God sent Jesus on earth to reconcile us to Him. Jesus brought relationship with Him where He showed us what it looks like to live out our faith. He showed us to not focus on treating the elite of society any different than the people that people consider the outcasts. He opposed the religious \u201crighteous\u201d and called them out on their hypocrisy and showed favor to the sinners and helped them change their outlook and lifestyle to where they aligned with God. I love how it says in the verse above that in Christ God reconciles the world to Himself, not counting people\u2019s sins against them. I take that to mean when we truly repent of our sins, God cancels and forgets our sins, it is normally someone else or ourselves that keep remembering and bringing back old sins to where we struggle to put it behind us.
