All things are lawful [that is, morally legitimate, permissible], but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life]. -1 Corinthians 10:23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In our faith we have a lot of freedom to do as we see fit. But just because we have the freedom to do something does that mean we should do it? Just because we can eat as much sugar as we want does that mean that is what is best for us? Is that the best way of taking care of our body (temple) that houses the Holy Spirit? (That was just an example, I have no judgement against anyone that eats sugar, trust me J) Think about the media you take in, the movies you watch, the habits that you have; they are all permitted, but are they constructive and\/or edifying to your spiritual life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cJust because we can doesn\u2019t mean we should. Just because we always have doesn\u2019t mean we always have to.
