See the place where He was lying.\u201d -Matthew 28:5-6 AMP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The women that went to the tomb were Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of James, and their intent was to prepare Jesus\u2019 body for proper burial as His body had been put in there in somewhat of a hurry due to it being Sabbath the next day and them not being able to do anything like that on the Sabbath. So this was Sunday morning early after Sabbath and when they came up to the tomb the large stone covering it had been rolled away and they encountered an angel. It says that the angel\u2019s appearance was like lightning and his clothes were white as snow and he said the above verse to the women. There had to have been a lot of fear and disappointment for all of Jesus\u2019 followers since Friday and to receive the news that He had risen was not only a relief but filled with excitement as well. The angel said to come look at where He had been laying and I imagine you could see the blood there yet from all the abuse that He endured. What jumped out at me was that it says He has risen just as He said He would<\/u><\/strong>.<\/u><\/strong> How many times do I doubt that God will do what He said He will do in my life?
