Because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous\u2014being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. -Romans 10:9-10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It seems complicated and I think we tend to make it more complicated than what it is, but as you can see in the verse above, if we acknowledge and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe He was raised from the dead after dying for you and me, then you will<\/em><\/u><\/strong>be saved. By confessing our faith out loud we confirm our salvation. It is so simple, not easy, but simple. It is a step that shouldn\u2019t be taken lightly, but also a step that shouldn\u2019t have a bunch of other stuff added to it to make it more complicated than it is.
