For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God\u2019s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold. -2 Timothy 4:3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n How uncomfortable are we willing to get? If we hear a sermon that convicts us of something we are doing, do we try to change that habit? Or do we go find another church or sermon that will better fit our lifestyle? Or do we just blow it off as \u201cold school\u201d? Pastors\/preachers\/teachers don\u2019t always get it right and sometimes make mistakes in their sermons, like anyone that is human will\u2026\u2026 but it is our job as Christians to compare the teachings to scripture and if it lines up with scripture then we should probably be paying attention to what God is trying to tell us. In order to compare, we need to know the Bible, and in order to know the Bible we need to spend time in it everyday and work on our relationship with God to where we have the help of the Holy Spirit to guide us in our discernment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDiscernment is not a matter of telling the difference between right and wrong; rather it is telling the difference between right and almost right.\u201d -Charles Spurgeon<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDecisions become easier when your will to please God outweighs your will to please the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dad Joke of the Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This morning, I accidentally changed the GPS voice to \u201cMale.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now it just says, \u201cIt\u2019s around here somewhere.
