Through pride and presumption come nothing but strife, but [skillful and godly] wisdom is with those who welcome [well-advised] counsel. -Proverbs 13:10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A lot of times arguments are a result of someone\u2019s pride and like the verse above states, through pride comes nothing but strife. Are we open to receiving advice, or do we think we have it all figured out and nobody else actually knows as much as we do? For me, some of the simplest advice or the most profound a-ha moments have come from children. We can brush any advice off by saying, \u201cThey don\u2019t understand the situation\u201d, and while that might be true it also doesn\u2019t mean that advice, or at least part of it, isn\u2019t useful and true. God has a way of speaking to us from many angles, so don\u2019t be quick to dismiss someone\u2019s advice, instead examine that advice to see if it lines up with scripture and if so it might be advice worth considering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA smart person knows what to say, a wise person knows whether or not to say it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWise people speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dad Joke of the Day:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When a kid says, \u201cDaddy, I want Mommy\u201d, that\u2019s the kid version of \u201cI\u2019d like to speak to your supervisor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Have a great Tuesday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Good Morning!
