Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother\u2019s eye, but do not notice or consider the log that is in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, \u2018Brother, allow me to take out the speck that is in your eye,\u2019 when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite (play actor, pretender), first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother\u2019s eye. -Luke 6:41-42<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n How many times do we see what everyone else is doing wrong but don\u2019t see where we are wrong ourselves? This is just as prevalent in the church as it is in the outside world. There are a lot of people that get hurt in the church and some turn away from God altogether and become bitter at God not realizing that it wasn\u2019t God that hurt them but people. Because the church is made up of broken people we will always have that but then again, because we are broken is why we need Jesus and why we need church. The more we realize where we are as a person and aren\u2019t quick to pass judgement on people but instead, through love, help them overcome their struggles, the less people get hurt. Every time I read these verses I ask myself, \u201cWhat kind of log do I have in my eye that I am not seeing?\u201d It is so easy to have a log and be so used to it that you don\u2019t even realize that it is there anymore. God will help us see the log if we ask for His help\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe both have something in our eye. We all have a common brokenness.
