Not only do we have to build trust with them again but we are starting in the negative in doing that and have to work that much harder to get to the good side again. On the flip side when we choose to be offended we are only barring up our hearts and our minds from truly experiencing what is out there. Let’s keep in mind from both sides of the spectrum of how our words or actions might affect them if we put ourselves in the other person’s shoes. The offender might not have realized that what they said or did was offensive, or it might have come from a place of hurt in their own life in a place they haven’t healed from and therefore in their unknowing, lashed out. Or the offended might have had a wound that you just reopened by whatever you said. When we offend and are aware, let’s do our part and ask for forgiveness. When we are offended let’s do our part and forgive and not hold grudges. Remember, the words we say and the actions we make carry weight that we are responsible for, but let me also remind you, we are also responsible for what we choose to be offended over.

“If you are on a continuous search to be offended, you will always fine what you are looking for; even when it isn’t there.” -Bill Kellogg

“He who takes offense when no offense is intended is a fool, and he who takes offense when offense is intended is a greater fool.” -Brigham Young

Dad Joke of the Day:

What did the color say to the other color?

I love hue.

Have a great Tuesday!

Good Morning!
