You see that [his] faith was working together with his works, and as a result of the works, his faith was completed [reaching its maturity when he expressed his faith through obedience]. -James 2:22<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI will pray for you,\u201d is what we say to someone going through something tough and we have every intention to pray for them, but then we get distracted and forget about it. \u201cI believe tithing to the church is very important and there is a blessing in it,\u201d might be somewhat along the line of what we say but when money gets tight, we tend to pull out of our tithe money. \u201cI try to read the Bible every day,\u201d might be something else we say but then life happens, and we are just consistently too busy where we just run out of time in the day to make it happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I feel like these are all examples of where we have faith but in all of these situations it takes action and intentionality to get the full benefit of that faith. And I believe in all three of these situations, when we follow through on them, they bring completion\/maturity to our faith. Having good intentions is good and are needed to get it started, but through the action is where we mature and grow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFaith is not complacent; faith is action.
