But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the sufficiency of God]. -1 Timothy 6:6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Contentment is often coupled with inaction but it can also mean knowing where you stand morally and spiritually and being content or satisfied. We should always be striving to grow deeper in our faith and we should always be in action in furthering the Kingdom of God but it doesn\u2019t mean we can\u2019t be satisfied where we are. Satisfaction and contentment don\u2019t play the comparison game where dissatisfaction and discontentment are stemmed from comparing ourselves to others and wishing we had what they had. Comparison is where the enemy likes to wedge his foot in the door and try to make himself at home. Growing in godliness is good and should be something we strive for but it should also never get to the point that we think ourselves better than our fellow person, there again is where comparison can come into play and be a stumbling block.
