We may think that it is all up to us and we tend to get in a rut where we think we just need to grind harder and work harder and longer to get everything accomplished. While we all have responsibilities that are ours to do and should never take this as a license to just not do what is ours to do, it may do us well to take time to sharpen our axe where we can still get to the end result but with less effort exerted and our mental state in better position. Sharpening our axe includes hitting pause for just a bit and spending some deep, quality time with God asking for direction and wisdom on how to attack cutting down that tree that is ours to do rather than stay on the hamster wheel of going through the motions and working twice as hard as necessary for the same results. The enemy loves for us to be busy to the point of burnout because that is just another way for him to keep our focus off of God. Today, let\u2019s get off the hamster wheel and take the time to sharpen that axe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe bad news is time flies.
