Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect. -1 Peter 3:15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This is so good. We are to set Christ apart as holy, as Lord, in our hearts. We are to be ready to answer with hope and confidence on why we believe and live the way we do, but when we answer we are do so with gentleness and respect. Couple things that come to my mind when reading this. One, in order for people to notice that we don\u2019t believe the same as the world we have to be strong enough in our belief that we are living it out for people to even take notice. Two, if we do get questioned that we are ready to explain it, not in a condescending way but with gentleness and respect. God doesn\u2019t want us to be self-righteous and go forcefully share the gospel, He wants us to go about as Jesus did, to be gentle, to live life with them, and help them in that way. Is Christ set apart as holy in your heart?
