If, however, you are [really] fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, \u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, if you have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit]\u201d you are doing well. But if you show partiality [prejudice, favoritism], you are committing sin and are convicted by the Law as offenders. -James 2:8-9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Can you imagine, in today\u2019s world, if we all lived this out? If we truly loved our neighbor (co-worker, spouse, friend, drive-thru attendant, political opponent, etc.) that would mean that we would treat them without any selfish concern for ourselves. What if we truly loved the guy or gal that doesn\u2019t agree with our theological views, or our political views, or the ones that might just have made obscene gestures towards us in traffic? Loving others doesn\u2019t have to mean that we agree with them, it just means that we love them like Jesus loves us, knowing that the love may not be returned.
