Respect Everyone and Love the Family of Believers

Good Morning!

Show respect for all people [treat them honorably], love the brotherhood [of believers], fear God, honor the king.  -1 Peter 2:17

There is so much packed into this verse with possibility of each statement having a paragraph of it’s own. In today’s world there tends to be so much division between political parties that have differing beliefs that the the whole world is in an unrest. Although we don’t agree with everyone, we can still treat everyone with a mutual respect. Jesus says to love our enemies which takes it even a step further. Love the community of believers doesn’t mean just the people that go to the same church as us but also the other church communities in the world. Division between Christian churches is not how God designed or desires it to be. Fear God and honor the king puts it in great perspective. Fearing God means we uphold God and what He stands for, as well as our relationship with Him, above all else. The leadership we are under here on earth we should treat with honor. I am not saying that all of this is easy to do, but doing the right thing rarely is. Do we blend in with the rest of the world or do we become changemakers?

Dad Joke of the Day:

It amazes me how much exercise and extra fries sound alike.

Have a great Monday!
