Rejoice in the Lord and spread kindness and mercy to ALL people.

Good Morning!

Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near.  -Philippians 4:4-5

I love how these verses imply that if we continually rejoice in the Lord that we will have a gentle spirit. I think that to be true since when we are rejoicing in God we are in a good space mentally and I think the way God designed us is that when we are operating in our best space we will have a gentle spirit. The last sentence, “The Lord is near” brings a peace and calm to our minds when we meditate on that. The closer we draw to Him the closer He will draw to us and when we are rejoicing in Him we are drawing close to Him. There are so many of His blessings that are evident when we are operating in close proximity to Him. How can you rejoice in God today?

“It is both our privilege and duty to rejoice in the Lord.”

“If we rejoice in the acts of God without discovering His ways, we’ll question who He is when He doesn’t do what we’ve asked.”  -Bill Johnson

Dad Joke of the Day:

Did you hear the joke about the germ?

Never mind, I don’t want to spread it around.

Have a great Tuesday!
