God-Fearing Worship Leads to God-Given Wisdom

Good Morning!

The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.  -Proverbs 1:7

If we know someone that is new to the faith we should encourage them to worship God and recognize how awesome He is, and that will lead to that spiritual hunger to want to learn more about God and increase on knowledge. Biblical knowledge in itself will not result in Godly wisdom, but without Biblical knowledge it is also hard to have wisdom in God, not impossible but hard. Godly wisdom comes from truly pursuing God, pursuing a deep, meaningful relationship with Him. Even for those that have years of Christianity under their belt, should always be in awe and worship of our God and never should we despise Godly wisdom or instruction.

“The remarkable thing about God is that when you fear God, you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything else.”  -Oswald Chambers

“Don’t fear your problems when you’re walking with God. Let your problems be afraid of you.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I just found out the neighborhood had a meeting about the crazy person on the block.

It’s weird that they didn’t invite me.

Have a great Monday!
