Our purpose is to please God; not people

Good Morning!

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel [that tells the good news of salvation through faith in Christ], so we speak, not as [if we were trying] to please people [to gain power and popularity], but to please God who examines our hearts [expecting our best].   -1 Thessalonians 2:4

We have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, what an honor! In dissecting this verse, that is something that really stood out to me, that we are entrusted and approved with such a great responsibility. That being said, what are we going to do with that approval? Are we going to share the gospel in a way that gains us power, praise, and popularity? Or are we going to share the gospel to glorify God and to further His kingdom out of our love for God? You have been approved, you have been entrusted, so let us strap on the full armor of God and go be the hands and feet of Christ!

“It’s better to have God approve, than the world applaud.”

“We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the Heavenly world, and bring its power down to earth.”  -Andrew Murray

Dad Joke of the Day:

I have a friend who tried to take a selfie in a steam room, but the image was too blurry.

He has selfie steam issues.

Have a great Thursday!
