How many times do we say something that we later regret? The verse above says that speaking many words will cause transgression and offense, it is unavoidable. But if we can practice to control our thoughts we have a better chance at controlling our words. This does not mean we should not talk and communicate, but we should be aware of what we are saying and not just carelessly speak words. We are responsible for the words coming out of us, and in part are also responsible for how they are received.
