We have all heard people speak that think very highly of themselves and tend to speak in a way that encourages people to give them glory and praise for their attributes. Then you have Jesus that pointed everything back to the Father and didn’t have any self-seeking bone in Him. Which type of person would you want to hang out with and which type of person do you want to be? When we can operate as Jesus we have nothing to hide, we have no agenda that we have to keep up, and we don’t care about upholding a reputation that won’t matter in the big picture. If we find ourselves on the opposite spectrum of what Jesus modeled, are we willing to acknowledge it, and what steps are we going to take to get us aligned with Jesus’ way of doing it?
