For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. -John 16:13 AMP
The promise of the Holy Spirit was given to us by Jesus Himself. There is no greater wisdom than that of the Holy Spirit because He speaks what He hears from the Father. Sometimes He may speak to you in an audible voice, sometimes it may be more of a whisper, and a lot of times it’s a thought or hunch that you can’t shake. The more you are aware of the influence of the Holy Spirit the more you are able to recognize His works. I love how it says that He will guide us into ALL the truth and He will speak to us from the Father, and disclose to us the future. I believe the more intimate we become with God the more we recognize the Holy Spirit’s presence. When we pursue truth in all aspects to its truest form, we are sure to find God.
