Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. -2 Corinthians 5:17
Some of us might have lost the zeal we once had in Christ. That time when we first gave our life to Christ and the energy, peace, and relief that we experienced from that. But then we might slowly let life happen and the worries of everyday life and we get stagnant in our faith. The above verse says that anyone in Christ is a new creature, that can be a daily thing. It doesn’t say anyone new in Christ, but anyone in Christ, so if you feel stagnant in your faith I encourage you to stay in the Word and allow God to make you a new creature everyday, let the old things in your life go and do not let them determine the direction of your future, but realize that Christ has given you new direction.
