Love for God is More Important Than Knowledge

Good Morning!

But if anyone loves God [with awe-filled reverence, obedience and gratitude], he is known by Him [as His very own and is greatly loved].  -1 Corinthians 8:3 AMP

What a promise! If we love God wholeheartedly, we are known by Him. It’s not a matter of loving God with all your heart and then maybe getting noticed by God if you reach a certain status, dedication, etc. It says if anyone loves God, that person is known by God. And the great part of it is, when we are known by God, He understands us and knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows better what we need than what we do. Knowing that should bring us great comfort, to know that we have someone watching over us with the purest of hearts and with our best interest in mind. Does that mean life will have no challenges? Nope, challenges will still arise and not saying it is the case with every challenge but like working out, when we stretch and create mini tears in our muscle tissue we heal back stronger and bigger than before. Same is true in life, when we are stretched and torn a bit here and there, we come out on the other side stronger and strong people help other people succeed which is the mission of the church. Does this verse create conflict within you or does this verse bring you comfort?

“God is never surprised. He knows the end from the beginning. He knows everything about you and still loves you.”  -A.W. Tozer

“You may fear that the Lord has passed you by, but it is not so. He who counts the stars and calls them by their names is in no danger of forgetting His own children.”  -Charles Spurgeon

“God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile—and He walks it knowing every step of yours.”  -Max Lucedo

Dad Joke of the Day:

I’ve reached the age where I can’t tell if I sustained an injury or if that’s just how I am now.

Have a great Friday!
