I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33
We tend to strive to find that perfect peace, we all desire to have that perfect peace. The world will try to find that perfect peace in things, possession, and power, but will never find it. We as Christians have access to that perfect peace, we can find it in Christ. If we allow the world to determine our direction in life we will be filled with the stress and tribulation that we see around us. God gave us free will, let’s use it to follow Him and pursue and find that true and perfect peace. Let us stand out to the people around us with the peace we have in our lives. Let us be a light on a hill in a dark world…
