So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. -James 4:7
Step 1: submit to God. Step 2: resist the devil and he will flee from you. Submitting to God is a necessity which then you have the tools and power to stand firm against the devil. Do not let the devil get any strongholds in your life, he has a lot of tricks that he uses and among those tricks he loves to use the comments of someone else and twist them in how you perceive them to make you lose confidence in yourself and use it as a stronghold in your life. He has lots of other tricks as well so seek God to reveal to you the tricks that the devil uses so you can recognize them and resist them head on.
