Run With Endurance

Good Morning!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us.  -Hebrews 12:1

Runners that run a race will shed everything they possibly can to stay as light as possible to therefore be able to be the fastest to their ability. It is the same in life, we should shed all the unnecessary weight and sin that we get so easily wrapped up in to be able to run this race (life) to the best of our ability. It will never just happen, we have to be intentional, we have to be persistent. Same as with a runner, we need to train and be proactive so when that challenge comes at us that we are rooted in Christ and ready for it.

Here is a link to a video that puts life in perspective in a way really makes sense: https://youtu.be/jF_x8dsvb_4

“In the midst of an ordinary training day, I remind myself that I am preparing for the extraordinary.”  -Shalane Flanagan

Dad Joke of the Day:

A scarecrow says,

“This job isn’t for everyone. But hay, it’s in my jeans.”

Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!
