Pure and Luminous

Good Morning!

But He knows the way that I take [and He pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I will come forth as [refined] gold [pure and luminous]. -Job 23:10

Job was living a very fulfilling life and in a very short time it was completely stripped away from him. During that time he stayed true to God and although his wife and close friends tried their best to convince him to turn away from God and pity himself in the situation, Job stayed true to his faith. What came out on the other side of that trial was beautiful and Job was like refined gold. How do we respond to trials as they come at us? How do we respond when a friend is in the midst of a trial? Do we try to convince them of the bad? Or do we sit in the pit with them and help them work through it in a healthy way? Do we try to fix their problem and walk away when they don’t listen to us, or do we listen to them and help them fix their problem on their own time? Let us become like refined gold, pure and luminous.

Dad Joke of the Day:

So many people these days are too judgmental.

I can tell just by looking at them.

Have a great Thursday!
