Good Morning!
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. -Philippians 4:6
Did you ever notice how worry and anxiety never actually help us? Yet we all do it to some extent it seems. If you really think about it, every thought of worry is normally a lie from the enemy trying to convince you something is worse than what it actually is or something will happen that has a better chance of not happening. Statistics say that only about 8% of things we worry about actually come true to some extent. Next time you catch yourself worrying, try praying a prayer of the thanks instead, say the Lord’s Prayer, and see if your anxiety and worry level won’t decrease dramatically or subside completely. Live life the way you were designed by putting your trust in God.
“If you want to test your memory, try to recall what you were worrying about one year ago today.” -E. Joseph Cassman
“Our fatigue is often caused not by work but by worry, frustration, and resentment.” -Dale Carnegie
