Good Morning!
And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb (Christ), each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of fragrant incense, which are the prayers of the saints (God’s people). -Revelation 5:8
What I want us to focus on this verse today is the part where our prayers are fragrant incense to God. Incense was used as a part of worship in the Old Testament and is still used in some church services today. What I think is really significant here is that not only are our prayers our communication to God, our requests, our thanksgiving, etc., but to God they represent worship as well, something He breathes in as you would incense. This changed the way I have viewed my prayers and I hope it enriches your view of prayers as well.
