Good Morning!
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil. -Proverbs 3:7
Sometimes we think we just know best… and then we realize that we might not know what’s best but we still argue with God or with others…. because of what, of pride? Pride is one of the hardest things to lay aside and admit that we might not have it all figured out. If we are able to lay down that pride and fear the Lord in obedience, we are able defeat evil. Does this mean we are to be meek and feeble? Absolutely not! Laying down pride is not laying down strength, in fact we gain in strength when we are able to shed pride. If we do lay it down we are stronger in what we believe is right in God, and we are stronger in God when we find the strength to lay down our pride and look to God for direction. So, what is holding you back from going deeper in your faith with God……pride?
