Kind & Helpful

Good Morning!

Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.   -Ephesians 4:32

In our day to day, how do we respond to people needing our help? Do we respond with mostly annoyance or are we willing to help in a compassionate and understanding way? On the flip side, when we ask for help, are we doing it politely or do we think people owe us their help? Then to take it step further, when someone offends us or is rude to us we should forgive quickly just like we want others and God to forgive us quickly when we are in need of it. The world teaches us and our natural tendency is that when someone is rude to us that we have every right to be rude back, or when someone hurts us we have every right to “get them back”. When you go against that natural flow it oftentimes catches people off guard and can have a big impact on their lives and thoughts. Be the good, swim upstream, fight evil.

“Set an example. Treat everyone with kindness and respect, even those who are rude to you- not because the are nice, but because you are.”

“Everyone you meet is fighting some sort of battle, so let your kindness help them in their fight.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I miss the 90’s when bread was still good for you, and no one knew what kale was.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
