But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. -Matthew 6:33
I love how this says that we are to seek, set our aim on it, and strive after the kingdom of God. And it says that if we do that, all these things will be given to us. The ‘these things’ are referring to what is mentioned in verse 31 that we saw yesterday, what we will eat, what we will drink, and what we will wear. That is the three essentials we need to survive, everything else we have is a bonus and it says that He WILL provide those if we seek Him. That is comforting to me, to know that we have that protection surrounding us and although it sometimes seems like we are losing everything or not gaining what we want, God will provide as long as we truly seek Him.

“When life gets tough, pause and remember how blessed you truly are. God will provide.”
