Reborn

Good Morning!

By this faith you are saved [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose], if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain [just superficially and without complete commitment].  -1 Corinthians 15:2

How seriously do we take the sermons we hear? Do we look at them as entertainment and something that only sounds good to aspire to? Are we transformed in our faith walk, or are we checking the boxes? Our pastor has shared an analogy in the past that has really resonated with me that I think applies here; do we look at church as a cruise ship or do we look it as an aircraft carrier? On a cruise ship you go to be pampered and served and get full leisure enjoyment out of it, but on an aircraft carrier you come onboard to be sent out to battle and then you come back to get fixed up from the battle wounds, fueled up, and send back out into battle. How serious do we take our faith? Cruise ship or aircraft carrier?

Dad Joke of the Day:

I told a friend I was going to make a bike of spaghetti. You should have seen her face when I rode straight pasta.

Have a great Thursday!
