Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence. -Psalms 42:5
I think we have all been here, where our soul is restless and disturbed and in despair. The advice following this is exactly how to get out of that situation. It says to hope in God and then wait expectantly for Him……expectantly. Expect God to show up because He will. Write down your thoughts as you go through the whole process and if you truly hope in God and wait expectantly you will be able to see how He came through just by reading back over what you wrote. Sometimes God comes through in big and obvious ways and sometimes He comes through in subtle ways, but He always comes through.
